Andrew Phillips

Andrew Phillips joined the College in 2001 and is originally from Vancouver Island, BC. He holds a Hospitality Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver. His career began at the Empress Hotel in Victoria with Canadian Pacific Hotels.
Andrew's career spans over 30 years and includes a host of managerial positions within the industry including: Controller with Hyatt Hotels and the Prince Hotel to General Manager positions with Ramada Inns, Best Western Hotels and Sheraton Hotels. Andrew also spent over 5 years directly in the Restaurant and Bar environment as a General Manager and investor in the Irish Rovers Pub chain in Toronto in the 1980's.
Additionally, for 5 years Andy was a College National Course Director, overseeing the fulltime hospitality programs implemented at 24 campuses across Canada. Andrew is an active participant in the Community; he has been a past member of the Rotary Club, the Optimist Club and is a member of the War Veteran's Association.
