Course Name: Management Communication
Duration: 100 hours
Text: Several books will be used as reference materials to support
in-class learning objectives.
Oral Communication:
- Public Speaking techniques from prepared materials and from impromptu encounters
- Proper personal presentation as a key to helping others being open to listening to you
- Body language as a complement to your spoken words and tone of voice.
Written Communication:
Identification and use of proper formats for:
- resumes
- memos for staff
- memos for your superiors
- writing in log books
- writing to suppliers and
- writing to customers.
Leading Meetings:
- drafting agendas
- timing of topics
- driving an agenda vs. holding a forum for discussion
- ending discussions and moving forward
- meeting follow-up.
Making Presentations:
Using oral, written and leadership techniques, students will learn how to
- use MS Power Point and make a formal slide presentation
- as well as hand-outs to a meeting of several others.

Apply the Business Communications Skills learned in this section toward your own job search. Do the research, create your resume, write letters, hone your oral interview skills and polish your presentation to match the demands of the professional executive post that you are seeking!!
